The Story Behind the Drive
Lizzie's Holiday Book & Blanket Drive was inspired by a little girl who spent her very first holiday season in the NICU.
Born ten weeks premature, Lizzie spent 58 days in the NICU, celebrating her first Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's surrounded by the dedicated medical professionals who cared for her.
Those holidays looked very different from what her family had imagined. That experience inspired a tradition of giving back to families navigating similar journeys.
Through this annual drive, we collect new children's books and adult-sized blankets so NICU parents can experience moments of warmth, comfort, and connection while reading to their babies.
What began with one family's experience has become an opportunity for an entire community to share a little love during the holiday season.

📚 New Baby & Children's Books
A story can bring a moment of normalcy to an otherwise overwhelming experience. Donated books give NICU parents an opportunity to read to their babies, bond with them, and create precious memories during their hospital stay.
💜 New Adult-Sized Blankets
💜 New Adult-Sized Blankets
NICU rooms can be chilly, and parents often spend countless hours beside their babies. A soft, cozy blanket offers warmth and comfort during those long days and nights.
🍪 Snacks for NICU Staff
🍪 Snacks for NICU Staff
Our NICU nurses, doctors, and support staff work tirelessly to care for some of the tiniest patients. We're also collecting individually wrapped, shelf-stable snacks as a small token of appreciation for the incredible people who care for these families.
All donated books and blankets must be new. All snacks must be individually wrapped and commercially packaged.
