Frequently Asked Questions:
Disclaimer: We may not be able to help out every family that is sent our way, but we will do our best to help out as many families as we can.
Are we strictly helping only preemie, NICU and special needs infants and families?
No, while we do focus more on those families, we are open to helping others who may not fit in that category if we are able.
What counties do we serve?
Barrow, Oconee, Clarke, Walton, Newton, Morgan and Jackson Counties in Georgia are the only counties we serve at the moment, but are hoping to one day expand our reach.
What donations do we accept?
We accept donations including, but not limited to, diapers, wipes, gently used baby clothes and shoes, unopened and in-date baby food, bottles and more. If you have any questions about donations, please send us an email.
Are we a non-profit?
We are currently not a non-profit, just a mom helping other moms. However, our hope is to file as a non-profit or charitable LLC in 2026.
I know a family who needs help. What should I do next?
If you know of a family who needs help, please reach out to us by email or send us a message to our facebook group.
How do I donate?
You can reach out to us via our facebook page or email to schedule a pick up or meet to drop off donations.
What is included in a donation to a family?
Every donation will include diapers, wipes and formula/baby food. Other items such as baby clothes are given based on need and if we have any in that size. We also try to give every mom a small gift just for her to know she isn’t alone in this. Gifts for mom can range from candles, coffee cups etc, based on what we have available.
What do we NOT include in donations for families?
We do not give monetary donations or cover bills or anything in that regard. Any money that we receive as a donation will be spent on getting supplies such as diapers and formula for the families we help.
What are the goals/plans for She’s Got A Village?
We are hoping to build a network of “villages” across the country to help as many moms as we can. We hope to, one day, set up events such as community baby showers or baby expos. Further down the line, we are hoping to have “store fronts” where moms and families can come and speak with a lactation consultant, have classes on breast feeding/pumping, and pick up things they may need such as diapers and food that they may be unable to get otherwise.
Disclaimer: She's Got a Village reserves the right to deny donations to families for any circumstance including but not limited to harassment and lying.
